Introduction:
KCOM are pleased to work in partnership with HEY Smile Foundation to launch a new grant programme called “KCOM Digital Inclusion Grants”. Designed to support community-led ideas that can address digital inclusion across the Humber.
A relationship grant programme that’s keen to listen, support and learn from community-led ideas that can drive digital inclusion across the Humber.
Grants to be released within two funding rounds each year, enabling ideas that could be scalable and support measurable change. Grants supporting a number of projects up to the value of £15,000 will be awarded.
Applications to be submitted via www.beecan.org. HEY Smile Foundation may contact some applicants to arrange a telephone assessment, this will ensure proposed activities are safe and impactful.
Timescales:
KCOM Grant Panel will meet and assess applications twice a year (February and September).
Submission deadlines for projects will be one month before the Grant Panel meeting.
Funding Priorities:
Eligible organisations applying for funding should ensure projects meet the following priorities:
Addressing digital challenges
Building stronger communities
Connecting generations
Developing digital skills & awareness
Eligible groups are encouraged to apply for funding to try something new or build on what already exists. Examples of projects that could be considered include:
A small peer-led support group in need of equipment to create a new activity.
Promoting an existing activity and addressing barriers to participation.
Responding to an emerging need within an existing support programme.
Eligibility summary:
Applicants should either be a charity, not-for profit company or voluntary and community group.
